Gifted and Talented
Gifted & Talented (G&T)
Principles:
Hastings and St Leonards' Gifted and Talented team will provide a pro-active service to support schools in the improvement of the learning, and the raising of attainment, of gifted and talented young people. The Cluster will also support schools in making effective provision for these young people through:
  • Working with targeted groups of children
  • Collaborative planning of project work with schools
  • Staff training
  • Transition work
  • Personalised learning plans
  • Use of 'cutting edge' technology to raise achievement
The G&T Co-ordinator will offer advice to schools & headteachers on curriculum design & timetabling, asessment & target setting, identification and provision. Advice and training will also be given to school co-ordinators on identification, planning, assessment and tracking.

The G& T Team will seek to embed the models of support in cluster schools in order to sustain work.
