The Excellence Cluster provides schools with a range of extra curricula activities, delivered on a rotational basis.Specialist tutors take small classes of eight to twelve students in subjects that include Poetry, Creative Writing, Literacy, French, Spanish, Art, Science, Maths, Digital Photography, Thinking Skills, and Dance
The aim is to provide students with an opportunity to study in-depth, subjects not always available in the normal school curriculum, in an way that is difficult to accommodate in the school timetable. |
The Tree of life

Artist Sheridan Quigley works with groups of eight to ten primary students on a project that looks at 'The Tree of Life' from historic, cultural, spiritual, scientific, literary, art, writing and performance perspectives. |
Poetry

Poet and writer Richard Evans with a group of William Parker students. Each half term the Excellence Cluster produces a booklet of selected poems from groups of primary and secondary students. |
Dance

Dance worker Ian Fuller usually works with G&T groups of 12 students, but for some G&T projects much larger numbers participate. Ian involves the students in experimental work and 'Thinking outside the box'
Projects have included- 'Movement machines', 'Olympics', 'Rock 'n' Roll' & 'Brazilian Street Samba'
