The Inclusive Learning Tutor programme will aim to prevent the disengagement of students from education, or redress any disaffection, by:

• supporting schools in engaging vulnerable young people
• providing sustained support to an identified caseload of young people
• delivering proactive intervention
• supporting families and providing links with other appropriate agencies
• offering out of school activities where appropriate
• liaising with a range of services
• providing management for the team to ensure cohesion of service across a range of schools and funding streams
