The Learning and Teaching Adviser
will utilise data, backed by local knowledge, to assess the needs of
the schools. Subsequent action plans will be linked to schools' MSSR,
and the L & T Adviser will liaise with CfBT over input into schools
in order to avoid duplication.
Cluster staff will be deployed
according to the identified need:
teaching assistants will work
with focused groups of children on identified numeracy and literacy
programmes
qualified 'facilitators' will
work with school staff using coaching methods developed as a result
of zone good practice - demonstration lessons will be combined with
team teaching, guidance and support, as well as monitoring and evaluation
the LTA will offer similar coaching
support to senior staff, or to schools identified as requiring additional
support
training will be offered to
'families' of schools who have identified particular needs, as well
as to individual schools
schools will be encouraged to
utilise the latest technology in order to raise standards of learning
and teaching
transition projects will form
a significant part of the work
Cluster staff will explore appropriate
routes for personalised learning, including work related programmes
as appropriate
family learning activity will
support the school focused work, in order to raise aspiration and,
subsequently, attainment
